Our Transition year class BANBA ! ..are holding a festive bake sale to raise money for our TY mini companies :) ..everyone stayed up late baking last night so hopefully it'll be a success <3 ...We all dressed up  today  for some christmas spirit ! and most of all to raise money for the elderly in our local community ! !

It's been a while...

Hey :) haven't blogged ina while we've been so so so ! BUSY.. well alot has happened since i last blogged like : 1) we went to see an OPERA 2) we went to see a ballet performance 3) we are currently hosting a school musical '' The Sound of Music'' .. Everything seems to have come all at once ! :)
The opera was really fun :) ...we got the bus into town ..and went to a really nice cinema where all the T.Y.s  sat and observed the piece work '' Don giovanni'' ...it was about a guy who was modernly known as a player :)..it was really interesting since we are studyin operas in music ..and trying to do our own ..
The ballet was so much fun ! ...it was so beautiful and elegant :) and Laura smith ..from our school was dancing in it she was great :) we got Mc'ds on the way home ..we were all delited !..
The musical has everyone wrecked but its well worth it ! Banba's very own Leah redmond is the star of the show ! :) so proud of her <3 ... the second show of it was last night and it was a great success..compared to the first nite anyways :/ :L ..but everyone is having so much fun ..also the T.Y.s made a great christmas greeting and sent it to schools around the world ! :O its so much fun ..were really getting into the festive season :) .. The T.Y. life is great :) its amazing to be getting involved in everything :) .. well g2g be a T.Y. head :) x

Wolstans and the city : )

Hey : ) havent been on this ina while :/ ...been so busy lately , theres never a dull moment . Last week we went into Dublin city ( TOWN ) .. We went in because we were going to see the play we were studying which was ''Juno and the Paycock'' in the abbey theatre ...also we made a day out of it and got to do loads :) ..we went to the National Museum where we saw the bog bodies :O they were pretty creepy but intresting ! ..i learned alot about history anyways :) and then we went to my favourite part which was the William Butler Yeates ...! exhibition ..it was great we learned all about his love SCANDAL ..with maud and the unreturned love and most of all we learnt the background of all his pieces :) ...and we saw his scrap pieces of paper where we saw how many times he would write something out just to get it right ! and we also  saw his report card which really showed us that grades wasnt everything as he wasnt particularly good at english but yet he was one of the most famous writers in history :) ! ...anyways aside from my favourite part of the day I also went and saw Juno and the Paycock which was an amazing production ! and I am so thankful to have been able to go and see it ! and were all working on our reports as I blog ! :L well im off ! lots and lots of work to do ! xx

BUZZ ! -.- unce unce .

Hey ....havent blogged ina while :S ...but i have been pretty busy with everything going on in school ! . Yesterday we went on a mini company trip to newbridge ..it was great ... ! we got alot of help on our mini companies and lets just say me and my group finally settled with an idea ...thats PROGRESS...for us also we were aloud to go for lunch ..also known as fast food ! ...well the CHICK KING ...was not what we thought it'd be :L :L Also ..after long hard work with our fun walk ! our class BANBA won ! .... fodhla lost ...just putting that out there :L ...so competitive...! ..next week we have a play were going to see called ''Juno and the Paycock'' ...which we read in class but lets just say it wasn't a clear drama ! ..so hopefully we'll understand it better !... Our class is really bonding lately :) its great were all really close ! ...and TY  has been a great experience so far im loving it ..although theres alot of projects and deadlines :/ you learn alot about the world and what goes on ! : ) im really happy with my choice to do TY ... im lovin' it ! Later on today we've pilates ! ..dancing and photography ! ..the activities are so fun ! .... dance with Mrs. O'r is a hoot ..i think its my fave outta them all ! ... photography is great banter ..we took a class photo of us spelling out our class name ''BANBA''  its really good !... and pilates is a great relaxing way to end these stressful thursdays : ) ! then after my activities im in musical practice ! : ) .. im dancing in it ! which is great because ive never really had the time to put in to after school activities or plays or anything ! :) ...

the stress of it all !

The past few days in T.Y. have definitely been very stressful! ...our young scientist was entered this week and the theres always the mini company craze ..which our group still have no idea what they are doing at all ...which kinda makes me nervous ! ...then jus when we htink we can relax ders more witho our funwalk and friendship week ..mrs KB ..really taught our girl school a thing or 2 about being nice :L ...t.TYs are yellow for the fun walk ..and lets face it ..banba ..is so gonna win ;) ! ....Soon enough we'll be doing our work experience ! i cant wait although I have none yet ! ... :/ ! so tis a stressful time atm ..but thats hte great thing about T.YT. your always doing SOMETHING :L 

St. Wolstans in Co.

This Thursday were going to Naas in kildare to go for like a meeting on our mini companies  : ) ..its gonna be great ..their will be other schools there and it should be great fun to see other peoples ideas and all the random ideas that no one has thought before : ) .... and supposedly we get a bitta Mc d's after :D ...were all pretty busy tryna get our priposals ready for the young scientist for the deadline ..and theres pretty much alot going on with projects and stuff ! also our fun walk is soon ...which is when we go on a walk with our whole school and dress up and do a dance and stuff and then theres a winner between the classes in each year ...Lets just say our is goihng to be one to remeber ...: ) but apart from all the craziness were having a ball ..and its a great different side to school ... also the musical is going on and were doing dance paractice and stuff ! ! !   also theres an operah that were producing as part of our musci project we've decided what were going to reinact ...MEAN GIRLS..its gonna be epic :) can't wait ..this year is gonna be great .

EXCITED.

T.Y. is full of exciting things .. theres always something to do .. never a dull moment atall ! . Its a school year to get out there and do what you want to do ! and you have more time to dedicate to yourself :) . We are all brainstorming our ideas for the young scientist which is only around the corner , and mini company also ! everything is starting to come together .. meanwhile everyone is getting involved in the musical ! at school . :) its gonna be great :D . Work experience is coming son and were all so excited to see what career is right for us ! can't wait ! . We have started reading Juno and the Paycock which we are going to see pretty soon! . So we are completely , 100% excited and enjoying the T.Y. year : ) : ) x

soo tired :(

So so so so so so so so so so so so so so so ...tired after results night ! :O it was amazing but so tiring ...carlingford also known as (fat camp ) and then the day after our tiring journey junior cert results and then after partying all nite school . Lets just say im very happy to be in T.Y. at this moment in time because we are doing such fun things compared to boring ..old...normal..school. T.Y. is like another world :D its amazing :) ....sitting in I.T. isn't too bad compared to irish or maths ...but sure there on later :(

Junior cert night was a blast its a great feeling : ) most of the t.y.s stuck together and went to time .. it was amazing :)

NERVOUS! :S

Right now I am an hour and 30 minutes away from getting my junior cert results . ! Can't wait to go out and celebrate with my friends tonight . Lets hope were all happy :D

CARLINGFORD WAS A BLAST .

What can I say carlingford was simply amazing :) ..we did many unusual group activities . The entire trip did really bring us together and was a great stepping stone into T.Y. . After a very anticipated bus journey we arrived at a tiny , what looked like a make beleive village . It looked fake it was so perfect . The small narrow roads , the cute little old buildings and the amazing scenery :O . It wasn't long before we dropped our bags and headed for the mountains ... the up steep hill walks was a great work out . IT WAS SO TIRING . When we came to the mountains in our kitted out army gear we played a lazer shooting game it was great craic . We  came back for lunch but soon after we were on the go again doing group challenges and team work activities . Soon it was evening time and although we were wrecked we were all up for a sing along with another boys school that had also came to the adventure centre . IT WAS A BITTA BANTER :D . Soon we were in our rooms where we had bucket loads of junk food and a bitta girlie time . The nest day was daunting waking up at 7:30 for more hill walking . Lets just say between the hills and the muck wellies were our best friends . We did rock climbing where many including me faced our fear of heights and had fun along the way too. Soon it was time for orienteering which no one was looking forward too :( . Instead me , seefs and aisling made the most of our time and escaped our groups to look and sit on a mountain ... aisling fell along the way which was hilarious and we went back to the centre and got money to go get some FOOD . Sitting in a cafe me , seefs and aisling thought and remebered how far we had came since first year . Did we ever think we would be here ? :) ....Having the time of our lives .

Carlingford Craze !

Everyone is so excited for our trip to carlingford adventure centre : ) we are so excited to be going on trip together its going to be amazing we can all just feel it ... BANBA is gonna have an epic time : )

The First Week of T.Y.

T.Y. has started off amazing : ) . The first day everyone was welcomed and just so relaxed around eachother . Its great : ) . Our base classes are named after 3 sisters of Ireland . Im in Banba : ) . On wednesday we created our blog and realised we'd be taking part in alot in school such as homework club , musicals , projects , and pilates : ) . We will soon be taking a trip to carlingford everyone is really excited .  On thursdays we have such an amzing day our last three classes are 1920's dancing with mrs. o'r and photography and the amazing art of pilates ..which was a hilarious experience in the first class. T.Y. is turning out to be great and i definitely think it was the right choice for me by far .  This week we had social developement which was really fun we learned ALOT about ourselves and what kinda people we are and what kinda people are in our class . The past week our class have definitely bonded . T.Y. is gonna be a great year : ) !
